During the study programme introduction you receive important information about your programme and studying at VU Amsterdam. You can also meet your fellow students. Participation is highly recommended, so make sure you are there! The introduction is considered the start of the programme and you will miss out on important information if you do not participate.

Faculty of Law
On the digital education platform Canvas, you will find the full programme of the course introduction and the link for the online course introduction. Don't have a VUnetID yet? If so, make sure you complete your course registration as soon as possible.
We look forward to welcoming all incoming Master's students to the Faculty of Law on Thursday, January 29 (Dutch program) or Friday, January 30 (English program) during the Programme Introduction 2026.This introduction is the perfect opportunity to prepare for a successful start to your Master’s program. You will receive important information about VU’s academic resources, such as the University Library, Career Services, and study advisors. In addition to the general introduction, each Master’s program and specialization will host a dedicated meet-and-greet session. For more details, see Canvas.

General introduction for the English-taught Master’s programmes and specialisations
For: English-language specialisations: European and International Law, International Migration and Refugee Law, International Technology Law
