During the study programme introduction you receive important information about your studies. Participation is highly recommended.

During the study programme introduction you receive important information about your programme and studying at VU Amsterdam. You can also meet your fellow students. Participation is highly recommended, so make sure you are there! The introduction is considered the start of the programme and you will miss out on important information if you do not participate.

Bachelor's programmes

  • VU Introduction Days (2 or 5 days)

    The study programme introduction days for bachelor students is part of the VU Bachelor Introduction Days (21 until 27 August 2024). So, if you’ve signed-up for the VU Bachelor Introduction Days you will automatically join the study programme introduction. For the Bachelor Introduction Days you can choose between a 5 days programme or a 2 days introduction programme with a focus on getting to know VU Amsterdam, your studies and the faculty. More information and the answers to many questions can be found here.

  • Faculty of Social Sciences (FSS)

    The digital education platform Canvas will have the full programme of the introduction for your programme, see links below. Don't have a VUnetID yet? Then make sure you register for your study programme as soon as possible.

    These programmes have a joint introduction afternoon on campus, because all these programmes are part of the Faculty of Social Sciences. During this afternoon, you get to know the faculty, your programme and your fellow students. You will first be welcomed by the faculty and then you will meet your fellow students from your own study programme. The Study Association of our faculty EOS will provide a social part with introductory activities and a closing drink. If you have any questions about registering for courses, you can also drop by during the Education Office's walk-in hour. You can also read the manual of all VU's digital systems such as Canvas and VU.nl. You do not have to register for this afternoon, nor is it compulsory, but we do think it is very important that you participate.

If you have any questions about registering for courses, you can also drop by during the Education Office's walk-in hour beforehand (starts at 12:45hrs).
