12 May saw the launch of the Incubator for junior lecturers; from now on, this is the place at VU Amsterdam where junior lecturers from all faculties can meet and inspire one another, swap experiences and develop further as experts in education. The Incubator is an initiative of VU Centre for Teaching & Learning.
At the gala opening a green ceiling was planted with seeds from the invitations to junior lecturers. Janneke Waelen, teaching manager of VU Centre for Teaching & Learning, hung up the first pot in room 6A69 of the NU building, which from now on will be the domain of the junior lecturers every Thursday.
