The tools to shape your teaching
Supervising students, designing a course, integrated assessment and active learning techniques. These are the basics of the University Teaching Programme (UTQ). But you also learn more about yourself as a teacher and how you can develop: what is your approach to the profession? What is your personal style of teaching? You will learn to shape your lessons in such a way that your students will regularly look back on them in their later careers.
Who is it intended for?
This programme is intended for new teachers. If you have more than five years’ teaching experience, you can opt for the fast-track programme. If you have a first-level teaching qualification for secondary school teaching or are already semi-qualified, we will devise an individual programme for you that enables you to demonstrate any missing components. If you do not currently have enough time for the whole programme, but are eager to start, you can opt for a module certificate. If in doubt, please feel free to contact us!

Obtain your UTQ with an individual portfolio, for VU-university teachers with around ten years of experience. - Professional teachership for junior teachers

For teachers at universities of applied sciences
Especially for teachers at universities of applied sciences, we offer group programmes for up to eight participants leading to the Basic Teaching Qualification. Email ctl@vu.nl.
