The Computational Lexicology group runs the Computational Linguistics and Text Mining Lab, which studies how computers can model language and communication and how this technology can be used for different applications, such as text mining, translation, hate-speech detection and moderation, language-learning, summarisation and Human-Robot interaction. CLTL staff is specialised in Large Language Models that are at the foundation of Artificial Intelligence and systems such as ChatGPT. CLTL built various specialised models for the medical domain using Dutch patient records, but also for their multimodal robot platform Leolani.
