A minor is a fixed selection of courses around a specific subject, allowing you to broaden or deepen your study programme. You can opt for a minor within or outside your study programme and even take a minor at another university. Non-VU Amsterdam students can also take minors at VU Amsterdam. In the Teaching and Examination Regulations (TER) you can find which minors are accessible for your study programme. Make sure to check the minor overview in the Study Guide as well to see the specific entry requirements per minor.
You can also fill your elective space with something other than a minor. No idea which minor you want to take or how you want to fill in your elective space? Get advice from your academic advisor!
