Studying without distractions while you’re surrounded by green plants, inspiring books, and enough power outlets to charge all your devices at the same time? The newly renovated study rooms of the University Library allow you to do just that! In 2022 and 2023, all study areas will receive a major upgrade thanks to extensive renovations. From 2023, there will also be a new event space, which will be used to host lectures, talks and debates.
The current state of affairs
Currently, you can already make use of the newly renovated study areas on the 1st floor of the University Library. You can also use the improved study spaces on the 5th and 6th floor.
The reopening of the study areas on the 7th, 8th, 11th and 12th floor takes place in the spring of 2023. Subsequently, the renovations of the study rooms on the 3rd, 9th and 10th floors will commence.
Alternative study spaces
Due to the renovations, there are temporarily fewer study places in the main building. Are you looking for a study spot? Have a look at the current availability of study spaces at the University Library or use the other study spots on the VU campus.
