The Griekse en Latijnse Taal en Cultuur programme (in Dutch) scores particularly well on content, lecturers and assessment. But students also rate atmosphere above average.
The Bachelor’s programmes Literature and Society and Philosophy, Politics & Economics (PPE), also from the Faculty of Humanities, both score four out of five stars. In this year's list of broad classical universities in the Netherlands, VU Amsterdam ranks fourth. VU Amsterdam receives the same score as last year with good ratings for earth and environment.
New survey design
Since 2021, there has been a new survey design and the assessment themes are different from previous years, making the new rankings of the best-scoring universities not comparable with the results of the 2021 Keuzegids.
Keuzegids
De Keuzegids Bachelors is compiled annually by the Centre for Higher Education Information and compares all accredited Bachelor's programmes at Dutch universities. The assessments in the guide are compiled in part from student opinions and accreditation data using information from the National Student Survey. These assessments help prospective students make an informed choice of their Bachelor’s programme.
