What are the benefits of following this module?
In this module, you receive lectures on the basics of risk management (including COSO ERM Integrated Framework), corporate governance (including governance codes), setting up an organisation using management frameworks and typologies (including Tol model and Levers of Control), monitoring, reporting and auditing (based on the Control theory for external and internal auditors).
Furthermore, you learn to consider and handle compliance and integrity risks in the light of setting up organisations and risk management in relation to strategic and operational goals. The starting point is that compliance and integrity are part of an organisation's risk management integrated into its operations: assessing risks, formulating policy, internal control (including monitoring), providing internal and external accountability, and internal and external auditing. This semester, the relation between risk management, corporate governance and culture of the organisation is also discussed. In addition, several specific themes are addressed.
