Compliance, integrity: part of integrated risk management

Module Compliance: Enterprise Risk & Compliance Management

In this module you learn how to consider and manage compliance and integrity risks in the context of an enterprise-wide risk management approach in order to achieve strategic and operational goals.

Module Enterprise Risk and Compliance Management

Organisations use governance and other organisational practices to safeguard and steer behaviour and to be accountable to a variety of stakeholders. In this process it is not only important to realize strategic objectives but also to realize this in ways that align with the values of the organisation. In this module you learn how to consider and manage risks in the context of an enterprise-wide risk management approach to achieve strategic and operational goals with a special focus is on compliance and integrity risks.

Using a blended format of online lectures, assignments and interactive classroom sessions, this module covers the fundamentals of enterprise-wide risk management processes and practices (based on COSO’s Enterprise Risk Management Integrated Framework). This holistic approach is linked to good corporate governance, organisational structure, assessing risks and implementing risk responses, including controls on the basis of management frameworks and in relation to effective monitoring, reporting, internal and external accountability and auditing.

The premise is that compliance and integrity, as integral parts of an organisation's risk management approach, are embedded into business operations, strategic and operational planning and decision making, acknowledging the interrelationship between risk management and corporate sustainability as well as digitalization.
