How do you connect with your mentor students? How do you react when the student is not doing well? Where are your boundaries and to whom can you refer?
As a mentor of a (group of) student(s), a lot is expected of you. VU Centre for Teaching & Learning offers this short training especially you as a mentor to help you, among other things, build good contact with your students, deal with problems and monitor boundaries.
After the training you will know better:
- How you want to conduct your mentoring interviews and how to respond to complex cases;
- Which role you have as a mentor (and which you don't);
- And how to best support and refer students when problems arise.

The course consists of one session of 1 day and will take place on Tuesday 3 February 2026, from 13.30 to 16.30. More information and registration.
