Women in STEM organizes a panel talk called Inspire Inclusion: Challenges and Opportunities from Women in STEM and Academia. A panel session with several VU woman scientists discussing their work and the challenges they face working in academia.
Wo&Men@VU offers a very special performance of "Fiere Vrouwen" (Proud Women), a musical collective that spotlights female talent and combines their strengths. On International Women’s Day at VU, jazz & pop vocalist Christel Mayven and pianist Mijin Kim will be performing some amazing gender equality-related songs.
NEWConnective offers you an interactive session on biases. What secret biases do we have of others? How do we relate to these biases? And how does that affect our work and study spaces? After 'revealing' our biases the session will proceed with a discussion.
FAM, the student association connecting students from different backgrounds organize a special gathering exclusive for female students with a discussion panel followed by a healing session and finishing up with drinks and socializing.
You can join us for the whole day but you can also participate in a singular part of the program!
