The so-called Two-lane approach developed by Professor Danny Liu (University of Sydney) offers a way to address these dilemmas. Liu distinguishes between, on the one hand, safeguarding the assessment of individual knowledge and skills, and on the other, coaching students to use AI responsibly and productively.
