Honours Interfaculty Component

The interfaculty component of the VU Honours Programme comprises 12 - 18 EC. Interfaculty honours courses are offered by VU, UvA and AUC.

These courses are attended by similarly motivated and talented students, taught in small groups and by passionate academics. This means that the pace and level of interfaculty honours courses are higher. It allows for more in-depth study of the content, more individual attention, lively debates in class and plenty interaction.

  • Course list

Click here to view the Interfaculty Honours Programme Sem 2, 2022-2023. In there you can also see the list of AUC courses available to VU and UvA honours students. Click on the title of each course to view the course description. When the course description states "This course is only open to AUC students", you can ignore that.

  • Selection process

Students will be selected for these courses by AUC based on the bachelor courses they completed and are currently enrolled in.

You need to upload your grade list (a screenshot from UvA NET or VUnet). Course application forms without a grade list will not be processed.

For more information on attending AUC courses as a VU honours student, visit their webpage for VU/UvA honours students

  • Scheduling (day time)

AUC courses are offered at day time, not in the evenings. This may cause overlap with regular bachelor courses. To view the course schedule of a particular course, go to its course description (click on the title of the course) and choose 'See also' in the 'Time period(s)' row.
