The Master’s degree programme in Archaeology will provide you with ample opportunities to explore new methods, current themes and up-to-date knowledge in the archaeology of Europe and the Mediterranean from the Bronze Age until the early Modern Period.
After completing the MA Archaeology, you could find employment at a commercial archaeological firm, museum, government agency, or in the IT sector. Interested in an academic career? Our program provides you with every opportunity to pursue this path.
The programme offers two tracks:
Both tracks will help you to enhance your knowledge and hone your research skills. The European and Mediterranean Archaeology track offers specialist courses on Greek and Roman archaeology, and later periods and covers themes such as Mobility and Migration, Historical Archaeology and Heritage. The Digital Archaeology and Heritage track covers core digital methods and theory, including 3D visualization and virtual reconstruction, as well as advanced spatial analysis and data science. The small-scale setting of the MA programme provides the ideal setting to combine theory and practice.
