VU Master's Event

Are you exploring your options for a Master’s programme after your bachelor’s? Or still unsure which Master’s degree fits your interests and ambitions? Join us on Saturday, 7 March 2026, from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. CET for the VU Master’s Event on our campus. This is the perfect moment to discover your next step and find out whether the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) is the right place for you.

Registration for the event will start in February. We will be the first to inform you about this via the Save-the-Date in the My Study Choice portal.

What to expect at the VU Master's Event?

During the VU Master’s Event, you get to explore more than 200 Master’s and pre-Master’s programmes in an easy and accessible way. Learn what your favourite programmes have to offer, what you can expect academically, and how it aligns with your future goals.

Make the most of this day:

  • Attend information sessions about the Master’s programmes that interest you.
  • Ask all your questions directly to lecturers and current students.
  • Meet Master’s students at the information market and hear about their experiences.
  • Discover pre-Master’s programmes, especially relevant if you're currently studying at a university of applied sciences (hbo).
  • Are you an international student? Join the International Office for their International Student information session, to learn about visas, housing and studying in Amsterdam. The International Office is also present on the information market.

You’ll also get a real feel for the VU campus atmosphere and see whether this is the place you feel at home and want to continue your academic journey.

The Master's Event on Saturday, 7 March 2026, is the last master's event we are organising this academic year.

If you are interested make sure to register for the "International Students Information Session" in the registration form. During the session, you will get information about studying at VU Amsterdam and living in Amsterdam. You can also visit the International Office stand on the information market in the Main Building.

  • Information markets

At the different information markets, you can ask all your questions to our staff, lecturers and students from your favourite Master's programmes. They can give you information about study programmes, application procedures and studying at the VU. In the NU-Building, you will find the information market for the Faculty of Science Master's programmes. In the Main Building, you will find the information market for all the other Master's programmes.

  • How do I get to VU Amsterdam?

The Master's Event takes place on and around the VU Campus. The various locations are within walking distance of each other. The address of the Main Building is De Boelelaan 1105, 1081 HV in Amsterdam.

The Master's Event is best reached by public transport or by bicycle. Amsterdam Zuid station is about a 5-minute walk from the VU campus. Trains and metros stop here, while trams and buses stop right next to the VU. Plan your route to Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam via Google Maps or 9292ov and take any roadworks into account.

We advise against travelling by car due to the limited number of parking spaces around the VU and the fact that parking is paid.
