VU Online Master's Event - Thursday, November 26

Are you almost finished with your bachelor's and curious about the possibilities of a master's programme at VU Amsterdam? On Thursday, 26 November 2026, from 3.00 pm to 7.00 pm CET, you can find out which master's programme is right for you, from the comfort of your own chair. Take part in the Online Master's Event and get to know our master's programmes in an accessible way.

Registration for the online open day starts in early November. Like others, would you like to receive an email as soon as registration starts? Then follow the steps below.

  1. Go to My Study Choice and log in (or create an account with your email address).
  2. Find the Online Master's Event under Study Choice Activities.
  3. Click on 'Keep me posted'. You will receive an email invitation once registration begins.

In addition to the Online Master's Event on Thursday, 26 November 2026, we will also organise a Master's Event on Saturday, 6 March 2027. This open day will take place on our campus.

Why take part?

  • Reduce stress in choosing a Master's programme. By starting your orientation on time, you avoid selection stress. Still hesitating between several master's programmes? Participate in several live information sessions and compare them directly.
  • Discover the knowledge and experience of others. Via chat, you can get in touch with students who are already studying the programme and lecturers who know everything about the content of the programme.
  • More than 200 programmes. From exact to social, from broad to specialised: there is always a master's programme that suits what you want.
  • International student? The International Office answers all your questions about visa, accommodation and studying in Amsterdam.

Practical matters

  • Times and rounds

    The online open day starts at 3:00 pm and ends at 7:00 pm CET. Several live information sessions will take place during the Master's Event. The full programme of live sessions will follow once registration starts in early November.

  • What is Campus Online?

    The Master's Event takes place in Campus Online. That is a virtual environment where you can already get an impression of the VU. Each participating study programme has its own room. In these rooms, you will find a programme video, interesting and informative documents about the study (e.g. job opportunities!) and the opportunity to chat with lecturers and/or students. Most study programmes also organise live sessions. You can access these sessions via the virtual room.

  • How do I register for the Master's Event?

    Registration will be possible from early November. Would you like to receive an email as soon as registration starts? Then follow the steps below.

    1. Go to the My Study Choice login page
    2. Depending on whether you are already a VU student, follow 1 of the steps below:
    3. I am a VU student:
    • Choose to log in with your VUnetID and follow the steps to log in.
    1. I am not a VU student, but I already have a My Study Choice account:
    • Choose log in with a My Study Choice account and then log in with your account details.
    1. I don't have a My Study Choice account yet, and I'm not a VU student:
    • Choose the option to create an account.
    • Then click on 'Create account' on the login screen.
    • Fill in the requested details, verify your email address and create your account.
    • Then log in with these details.
    1. On My Study Choice, you will then see the Master's Event under study activities.
    2. Click on:
    3. Master's Event - Keep me posted: You will now be added to our email list and be the first to be notified when registration starts.
    4. Register (once registration has started): Follow the steps above. After registration, the activity has been added to the registered activities.
    5. From now on, My Study Choice is always accessible when logging in via the login function at the top right of the VU website.
