New workshop for teachers: Teaching in Times of Fracture

Share
9 February 2026
What do you do as a teacher when tensions arise around sensitive (social or political) issues in your classroom? How do you create space for difficult conversations, and what do you do when a situation becomes heated?

In the Teaching in Times of Fracture workshop, you will learn how not to avoid difficult conversations, but rather to use them for deepening, connecting and learning. You will discover how to create a safe and brave space where students feel heard and where differences can be discussed. Through activating exercises, reflection and exchange, you learn to deal with hot moments and tensions in various groups. You explore which themes can affect you personally and get concrete strategies to deal with them consciously and professionally.

The workshop is based on the Mixed Classroom in Practice model, which provides guidance on how to use diversity and difference constructively. There is room to share experiences with colleagues and strengthen your own acting repertoire.

The workshop is suitable for teachers who are already familiar with the Mixed Classroom model and for those who have not worked with it before.
