Saturday 28 October is the Night of the Night: companies and municipalities turn off lights of buildings. But VU Amsterdam does this every night!
As part of sustainability and because of energy-saving measures, we turn off the interior lighting, facade and logo lights of the VU Main Building, Initium, the O|2 Lab Building and ACTA. And outside on campus where safety allows.
Zuidas buildings also switch off the lights
Together with VU Amsterdam, participants of Green Business Club Zuidas are also taking part: structurally not leaving any unnecessary lights on between 23:30 and 06:00. This saves energy and costs and is nice for the residents in and around Zuidas. This is part of the Ambition Statement 2021 - 2025.
