Grading exams with generative AI 26 June 2025 13:30 - 16:00

Share
There are high hopes that generative AI is the solution for automatically grading open-ended questions. After all, generative AI seems capable of so much. However, initial experiments show that it only works effectively when applied thoughtfully.

During this event, experts from higher education will share the steps they have taken. What experiments are currently running? What do they look like? What do they yield, and what can we learn from them? Can we develop applications that are both effective and acceptable to users, while also complying with legal and ethical frameworks?

Presentations

Four universities will present their cases: Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, University of Groningen, Delft University of Technology, and the University of Amsterdam.

Download the document with all cases here.
