Once you've completed your research, you should follow the VU's guidance on Open Access publishing. Once you have published your research article(s), you must also archive the data used in the article(s) to allow for verification of your results. Further guidance on archiving in the faculty can be found in the summary of the faculty archiving guidelines, including information on which archives are best suited to FGB data. The data that are used in research articles, must also be published, so that they can be found, even if the data will not be available for reuse.
You may also want to publish the data generated during your research specifically so that it can be reused by others for new purposes. However, it is very important that you have ensured that all privacy, legal and ethical requirements have been met before doing so. This is why the planning stage is so important.
