Privacy, Legal and Security Concerns

Last updated on 1 February 2023
When conducting research at the faculty, you must determine whether there are any requirements you need to meet with regards to privacy, security and other legal considerations.

Even if you don’t work with data from human subjects, there may be legal or security implications for the data you plan to use.

The purpose of this page is to serve as a portal to relevant information on privacy, security and other legal concerns when conducting research. For all of these topics, it is important that you determine your requirements as early as possible because the processes to meet these requirements can be time-consuming.
