For many years, the motto of the EMFC-programme (also known as ‘postgraduate controller programme’ or ‘register controller (RC) programme’) at VU Amsterdam has been: 'If you know what to expect and are able to deal with it adequately, you are prepared for the future as an executive in finance'.

The EMFC-programme in brief:

- Titles after completion: MSc (Master of Science), EMFC (Executive Master of Finance and Control) and RC (Register Controller, through membership of the Association of Register Controllers, in Dutch: Vereniging Register Controllers, VRC)
