Religion is often misused to incite violent conflicts, while at the same time it is one of the strongest ethical and spiritual resources for non-violent conflict resolution and transitional justice. Not only between individuals or among groups, but also in reconciliation processes within societies (and their violent histories), between nations, and with nature.
In the Master’s Theology and Religious Studies you will consider and critically reflect on all of these issues, in the fields of research and education as well as in practical application. We will seek to connect with the needs and questions of today's societies by applying multicultural / postcolonial hermeneutical lenses to the study.
Religion Peace, Trauma and Religion is one of the tracks of the Master’s programme Theology and Religious Studies.
