Expand your perspective on the human brain

Become part of the next generation of neuroscientists

Do you want to know how the brain works and why dysfunctions can lead to brain disorders? During the Master's programme in Neurosciences, you will learn everything about the brain. With this knowledge you can understand and combat neurodegenerative diseases such as ALS, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's and mental disorders.

The Master’s in Neurosciences at VU Amsterdam is a two-year, full-time programme taught entirely in English. While the first year is made up of courses that are compulsory for all Neurosciences students, in the second year you’ll get to choose one of two tracks or a combination of both, depending on your own area of interest:

  • Fundamental Neurosciences
  • Clinical and Translational Neurosciences
