Communication Science: Marketing Communications

With a Master’s degree in Communication Science, you will be equipped to approach communication challenges with a strong analytical mindset. You understand how the media influence society as well as workplace dynamics. You can identify communication-related issues and, more importantly, know how to address them effectively.

In today’s constantly evolving media landscape, a degree in Communication Science positions you as a sought-after expert, now and in the future, across a wide range of sectors. Graduates often end up working at large (online) communication agencies, research or consultancy firms, or in the communications department of an organization. As they gain experience, many move into roles where they are responsible for shaping and overseeing the communication strategies of corporations and public institutions, such as ministries, online platforms, retail chains, media companies, and NGOs. Others choose a more hands-on path, working at smaller organizations or agencies where they combine strategic thinking with execution.

This degree opens the door to a broad variety of career paths. You can  work as a strategist at a marketing or advertising agency, as an editor at a media company, as a communications officer for a public or private organization, or pursue roles such as HR manager, communication consultant, researcher or journalist.
