VU Online Master's Event - Thursday, November 26

What comes after your bachelor’s? Perhaps you already know exactly what you want to specialise in. Or perhaps you are still comparing programmes, universities and different directions you could take adter your Bachelor’s. The VU Online Master’s Event on Thursday 26 November 2026, from 15.00 pm to 19.00 CET, is a chance to explore your options before making that decision. Join live sessions for the Master’s programmes you are interested in, hear from lectures and current students and ask questions that matter to you. You can explore several programmes in one afternoon, all online.   

Registration opens in early November. Interested in joining? Let us know now and we will email you as soon as registration opens. 

Let us know you are interested in three simple steps 

1. Log in to My Study Choice 
Go to My Study Choice  and log in. 

  • Are you a VU student? Log in using your VUnetID. 
  • Do you already have a MY Study Choice account? Log in using your account details. 
  • Don’t have an account yet? Simply create one using your email address and follow the steps. 

2. Find the Online Masterevent 
In My Study Choice, go to Study choice activities and search for the Online Master’s Event. 

3. Click ‘Keep me updated’ 
That is it for now. We will send you an email when registration opens in early November. You can then register for the Online Master’s Event and start planning the sessions you would like to attend.

What can you do at the Online Master’s Event?

Choosing a Master’s is different from choosing your Bachelor’s. You already know what studying at university is like. Now it is about deciding where you want to go next and which programme fits the subjects and questions you want to explore further. The Online Master’s Event gives you the chance to look beyond programme descriptions and find out what the programmes you are considering are actually about. 

  • Compare the programmes on your list 
    Still deciding between two or three Master’s programmes? Join different live sessions during the afternoon and compare them. Find out what you will study, how the programmes differ and which subjects and specialisations you can choose. It is also a good opportunity to explore a programme you might not have considered before. 
  • Talk to students and lecturers 
    A programme page can tell you a lot, but sometimes you just want to ask someone. 
    Meet the students who are studying the programme now and the lecturers who teach it. Ask about the courses, workload, teaching, specialisations or anything else you would like to understand before making your choice. 
  • Explore more than 200 Master’s programmes 
    VU Amsterdam offers more than 200 Master’s programmes and specialisations across a wide range of fields.  Use the event to explore the area you already know you want to pursue, or look at related programmes and specialisations to see where else your Bachelor’s degree could take you. 
  • Coming from a university of applied sciences? 
    A university Master’s may still be an option. For some programmes, a pre-Master’s programme can prepare you for admission to the Master’s. During the event, you can find out which routes are available and what you would need to do before applying. 
  • Planning to come to Amsterdam from abroad? 
    If you are currently studying outside the Netherlands, there may be a few more things to arrange. You can find information about studying in the Netherlands and practical matters such as visas and accommodation, and find out where to go if you have questions about moving to Amsterdam for your Master’s.

  • Plan your afternoon

    The VU Online Master’s Event takes place on Thursday 26 November 2026, from 15:00 to 19:00 CET. You do not need to spend the entire afternoon online. Choose the programmes you want to explore and build your own schedule around the live information sessions that are most relevant to you. The full programme and session times will be available on this page from early November. 

  • What is Campus Online?

    The Master's Event takes place in Campus Online. That is a virtual environment where you can already get an impression of the VU. Each participating study programme has its own room. In these rooms, you will find a programme video, interesting and informative documents about the study (e.g. job opportunities!) and the opportunity to chat with lecturers and/or students. Most study programmes also organise live sessions. You can access these sessions via the virtual room.
