Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam is a leader in the field of AI and the social interaction between humans and machines.Our pioneering research, including the development of robots that reproduce and ‘evolve’ in behaviour and form, has made headlines worldwide. We also lead the largest AI research consortium on hybrid intelligence, in which scientists from six Dutch universities are working to improve the cooperation between humans and machines. VU Amsterdam received a Gravitation grant for this project from the Dutch Research Council (NWO).
AI Technology for People
The university also participates in AI Technology for People, a collaborative project with the City of Amsterdam, the business community and other research institutions focused on groundbreaking research with a social approach to AI.
