Last updated on 6 November 2024
The faculty and VU offer several services & tools that can assist you with your research data management.

Introductory information on the VU-wide services for research data management, such as DMPonline, Qualtrics, and Research Drive can be found here. For IT support, use the IT Service Portal

Further detail on how to securely use VU-wide services for the kind of data collected in the faculty are found in the following guidance pages:

  • YODA for data storage and archiving
  • Other data storage options
  • Tools for secure data transfer
  • Transcription services: Use either Amberscript or Transcript Online to ensure that your data are protected by our agreements with these service providers. If using Amberscript, you must log in to Amberscript with your VU Single Sign-On to ensure our agreements apply.

At the faculty, we have some additional services & software tools to assist you with your research process:

  • Technical Support for Research (TO3): supports faculty staff and students with research equipment, software and laboratories
  • Castor EDC: software for medical data collection and storage in structured databases
  • Survalyzer: questionnaire software that serves as an alternative to Qualtrics
  • For POW researchers, there is a DMP database available to help you write a DMP that suits pedagogical research. For access to this database, contact w.hugens@vu.nl or research.data.fgb@vu.nl.
