The "Bridging Borders: Designing Inclusive Futures in Education" (BIP) is designed to foster inclusive, innovative, and interconnected learning for a diverse cohort of educators and/or students. Using the Mixed Classroom Educational Model (and MIXED Model), the programme emphasizes both personal and collective growth in understanding inclusion, identity, and cross-cultural perspectives. By blending virtual and physical components, the BIP aims to create a comprehensive and immersive learning journey that encourages participants to explore and implement inclusive strategies in their professional contexts.
MCEM offers a practical and reflective framework for creating inclusive learning environments that can hold discomfort, foster dialogue, and equips teachers with a students as partners focus on creating safe learning environment that can handle discomfort and facilitate courage. The program combines online preparation, an intensive in-person week, and applied follow-up, guiding participants from conceptual understanding to concrete implementation.
This BiP expects participants to become co-facilitators in the process. We believe in the power of experiential and socioemotional learning which is why you will lead a sensitizing activity and microlesson during the week you will visit VU Amsterdam.
For whom?
The programme is tailored for a diverse mix of educational developers/teachers from all Aurora partner universities. The ideal group size is 17 participants, creating a balanced environment that allows for meaningful interactions and collaboration while maintaining manageability for online and in-person components.
