Bridging Borders: Designing Inclusive Futures in Education - A MIXED Model Approach

The “Bridging Borders” BIP aims to create lasting impacts by equipping participants with practical tools to implement inclusion in their educational or professional contexts. Through structured reflection and feedback, participants not only gain new skills but also develop a commitment to fostering inclusive, interconnected communities.

By the end of the BIP, participants will be able to:

  1. Develop a nuanced understanding of inclusion and its practical applications in educational or team environments, drawing on insights from diverse cultural perspectives.
  2. Identify and analyze personal and structural biases that affect learning and interaction, and implement strategies to create inclusive, supportive spaces.
  3. Design and implement an actionable, context-specific plan using the Mixed Classroom Educational Model (and MIXED Model) to foster engagement, belonging, and interconnection in their learning or professional communities.

Participants are assessed through:

  • Participation and Engagement: Completion of online activities and discussions.
  • Final Project Submission and Reflection: Evaluation of the final design with feedback integration and a personal reflection on programme takeaways.

Participants will receive structured feedback throughout the programme, with a final evaluation based on project quality, engagement, and reflective insights.
