Organisation

VU SBE for Professionals is part of the VU School of Business and Economics. VU SBE for Professionals has a day-to-day management led by the dean of the VU SBE faculty.

VU SBE for Professionals offers a growing number of training courses for professionals. These programmes each have their own program director with support staff.

The postgraduate courses focus on: Accounting & Control, Finance, Management & Leadership, Audit & Compliance, Business Analytics & IT and there are specific courses for Public Professionals. There are both NVAO accredited executive masters and professional programmes with certificates. In 2022, VU School of Business and Economics (SBE) became the first faculty in the European Union to receive dual AACSB Business and Accounting accreditation.

The program directors are accountable to the board of VU SBE for Professionals.

Research Centers

VU SBE Executive Education has several research centers, including:

These academies conduct applied research and offer courses, seminars and short programs. Each cluster and each Academy is connected to a research program in VU SBE Executive Education to ensure the connection of the educational programs with academic research. VU SBE Executive Education offers professionals the opportunity to obtain a PhD through the part-time ABRI PhD programme.

Curatorium

The Curatorium (Supervisory Board) represents the external stakeholders. It oversees the management of VU SBE Executive Education and safeguards the interests of those involved. Members are selected from the curatoria of the individual programs.
