In combination with the Ba programme Communication and Information Studies (Language and Mind track), this minor programme might serve as a perfect preparation for a teacher training programme (Master’s level). Please note however, that you are only eligible for the teacher training programme at VU (Ma Educatie in de Taal- en Cultuurwetenschappen) if your proficiency in Dutch is at B2-level or higher.
In this minor programme, you immerse yourself in topics that have to do with English but that were not treated in your Ba programme in Communication and Information Studies. These topics all have to do with English literature.
After combining your knowledge of English linguistics (from your Ba programme) with this new knowledge on English literature, you will know everything you need to know about the English language and literature if you want to join a teacher training programme.
