Think further about future entrepreneurship

Sem01 (2025-2026) The Future Entrepreneur

What is the role of the entrepreneur in the year 2035? Understanding the past is like starting from the answer and getting a multiple choice test about which question fits with this answer. The real open questions are about understanding the future.

The course The Future Entrepreneur is a series of discussions on how to get other people to join your ideas as stakeholders and how to realize their participation by giving them back something that they value enough to motivate their participation.

This course builds on and builds with students’ own study specialization or interest. It challenges its participants to think about their interests and study specialization in a more enterprising way. In contrast to other entrepreneurship courses, this course does not focus on applying the ‘taking action today’ aspect of entrepreneurship, but instead challenges its participants to reflect and anticipate, or even make, the future.

For more information and course details, go to 'Curriculum' at the top of the page.

Comments from students

Comments from students

"I would recommend this course to other honours students because developing the skill of thinking about the future—both by analyzing trends and using creativity—was really enjoyable. That kind of thinking goes beyond the usual methods we apply in bachelor courses."

“If you want new perspectives on entrepreneurship, take this course. Prof. Hugten is relaxed, kind, and gives everyone space to speak.”
