At the Marketing Department of Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, we are a young and ambitious group, proud of our recent growth and committed to continued development. Our work centers on understanding and improving the way marketing functions in a rapidly changing world. We study how consumer behavior and marketing strategy are shaped by new technologies, digital communication, innovation, emotions, identities, and sustainability.

Grounded in scientific rigor and driven by real-world relevance, our research spans all three core domains of marketing: Consumer Behavior, Modeling, and Strategy. We publish in leading international journals and strive to translate our findings into insights that help organizations make better strategic decisions and create lasting value in the everyday lives of consumers.

Our dedication to high-quality research is matched by our commitment to inspiring education. We offer a broad and engaging portfolio of marketing programmes, including a highly regarded MSc in Marketing and a part-time MSc in Marketing for students with relevant professional experience. Through our teaching, we aim to support and challenge the next generation of marketing professionals and scholars, helping them unlock strategies that make a difference in business and society.
