Special collections: internship and thesis

Would you like to work with the Special Collections during your studies? You can do so by starting an internship or doing your thesis research with us. Contact one of our curators if you would like to know more.

Thesis topics

The Special Collections are ideally suited for interesting and surprising thesis topics. Are you still looking for a nice subject and does one of the collections appeal to you in particular? Please contact one of the curators: we are happy to think along with you!

Internship

There are regular internships at Special Collections. During an internship, you will be linked to one or two curators. On the basis of a pre-defined plan, you will gain experience in, for example, organizing an exhibition, making inventories, or making archive materials (digitally) accessible. In addition, you will be introduced to working in the University Library.

Use and advice special material

Use and advice special material

The curators of the University Library (UB) work with the collection on a daily basis and are therefore the connoisseurs of the collection par excellence. We are happy to point out potentially relevant manuscripts, art and heritage objects, archives or maps. We also advise on the use of the collections and the application of digital solutions in teaching, research and study.
