HRM Matters
Where do I enter leave hours?
Through the Service portal, you can request, change and or view your holiday or a day off. You can do this via the blue 'Directly arrange' button on this page.
Arrange HR matters in fewer clicks
To view your salary statement, for example, you now have to click several times and give your authentication. The VU works with a standard self-service system in which this is required, but it can be done differently!
Tip: reduce that number of clicks by marking your frequently used services (e.g. the 'salary specification') as 'favourite' in the service portal. From now on, these will be directly accessible at the top of your screen.
Upload files and/or make changes in the service portal
You can upload a file for the annual appraisal, in your own personnel file or, as manager, in your employee's personnel file. You can upload a file for the annual interview in the first step of the annual interview under 'input employee'. Both employee and manager can add a document to the personnel file via the service portal. See this page for details. Here, you can indicate whether the request is for yourself or for one of my team members.
Holiday hours in previous years not visible in the service portal?
The holiday card in the service portal provides an overview of all holiday types separately under each other with the corresponding balance and future due dates.
This information has recently been expanded to include how you can see your holiday balance as of today or in a date in the future. For more information on applying, registering, accrual and more, please visit vu.nl.
Make several changes at once in self-service and include an end date for temporary FTE expansion
In the service portal it is not possible to indicate a temporary FTE extension in one change. This concerns 2 separate changes.
What to do if an Onboarding through the system is not completed (did the new employee receive the e-mail or did it end up in spam or some other reason)?
The manager can see in the onboarding status what stage onboarding is at and thus follow the whole onboarding process. In it, you can see whether any action is still expected from the employee. The VU has no control over the new employee's SPAM folder. As at the VU, the advice is to check the spam folder from time to time. If the employee does not complete these tasks, no additional notification will indeed follow to the employee or supervisor.
Digitally renew a hospitality declaration?
In the service portal, you can renew a hospitality declaration digitally via: 'change agreement external employee'. The external employee enters the extension himself via the self-service 'external employee agreement' ‘. Next, the external employee will be taken to the 'Edit work order' page where the end date can be changed. This takes care of the extension.
