Pop-up studio

Plan an intake
Last updated on 14 November 2024
The pop-up studio is a room in the OZW building (in OZW 10A-06) with a green screen, good lighting, and good sound. Student-assistants of the VU Education Lab will assist you in making it all happen. They help you in making a script, film the video and do some simple post-editing. And it is free of charge.

How does it work?

  • Step 1: Get the first impression

Familiarize yourself with making a script and accompanying powerpoint for your video. To get you started, please download the script of our video that's on this page and the Powerpoint file. Read the script and play with the Powerpoint.

  • Step 2: Get in touch with us

Get in touch with us and discuss your idea with one of the student-assistants. Simply fill in this form and one of our student-assistants will contact you. The intake will most likely take a half hour or so.

  • Step 3: Book your first recording session

Book your first video recording session of 3 hours via this booking form. You will receive a confirmation e-mail. Come to the Pop-up Studio, location OZW 10A-06, on the day you booked with your script and your presentation. After recording, the student-assistants will slice out the best take, convert it to an MP4 file and send it to you via SURF Filesender.

  • Step 4: Book your second and subsequent recording sessions

You will likely want to make extra video’s. So book a second slot of three hours. After recording, the student-assistants will slice out the best take, convert it to an MP4 file and send it to you via SURF Filesender.

Make your own professional knowledge clip!

With help from student-assistants and an AVC specialist you can make your own professional video in next to no time.
