Users can now add external media to their vacancy directly via the Job Marketing Portal. The media agency Initiative will then take care of publishing the vacancy on the requested channels.
Media agency
All media purchased and used by VU Amsterdam is handled through the media agency Initiative. They support government organizations in public communication under the DPC contract (Dienst Publiek en Communicatie) of the Government of the Netherlands. As a result, VU Amsterdam benefits from discounted purchase rates offered by the government, which are significantly below market prices.
Online media/Job marketing portal/Starting a Campaign
As of September 1, 2019, vacancies for both academic and support staff are published either internally only or internally and externally at the same time. All vacancies are automatically posted on LinkedIn. Academic staff vacancies are also automatically posted on ResearchGate and Academic Transfer.
The Job Marketing Portal in Ubeoo makes it easy for users to publish vacancies on external media (such as Indeed). Through the portal, users can start a campaign to advertise on external platforms. More information about starting a campaign and adding external media can be found in the manual: Manual ATS - Starting a campaign.pptx.
The Job Marketing Portal in Ubeeo is linked to Initiative. This means that once a campaign is started and approval is given for the selected channels and associated costs, the vacancy is automatically forwarded to Initiative. Initiative is then responsible for publishing the vacancy on the selected job websites.
Offline/Print media
The use of print media has significantly declined in recent years, resulting in increased costs.
For advice on which media channels are most suitable, you can contact vacaturedesk.hrm@vu.nl.
Please note that using print media typically involves a lead time of approximately two weeks.
