Tommy Pattij gets medical students to work more with literature

Last updated on 15 August 2024
Medicine students want more experience with scientific literature, teacher Tommy Pattij therefore encourages its use in their course assignments.

The programme for medicine students is packed with learning competences they will need as doctors. But lecturer Tommy Pattij received feedback from his students that they would also like to gain experience in searching, reading and applying scientific literature. To make this possible in an accessible way, he linked it to assignments within existing courses. The result? In years one and two, scientific literature is now part of several courses and the teachers encourage students to work with it!
