In 24 hours – including a good night's sleep – you and your colleagues will (re)design your intended course together, without interruption. You will use a design method to work on your course and, after 24 hours, you will end up with a rough educational design for the course and a personalised step-by-step action plan.
Who is it for?
Course coordinators, lecturers (teams), NT2 lecturers with a UTQ. This course is open to participants from within and outside VU Amsterdam.
How does it work?
During the BREAKOUT, you will work as a team in small groups of at least two and up to around five colleagues on the same course design, ensuring there is always a shared frame of reference and that you can bounce ideas off one another. When several lecturers design courses together, this promotes joint decision-making, quality assurance and the exchange of different perspectives. The CTL’s teaching specialists will guide you through the session using a structured, well-established design method, helping you to get started, make adjustments and contribute ideas.
Alternative 5-hour programme: don't have time or space for a 24-hour redesign session, but would you like to (re)design education? Then join the Design Ateliers: (Re)design your education in a day. In a five-hour session, you will arrive at an overall educational design and a personalised roadmap.
