What does global citizenship through A Broader Mind mean for a biologist, a tax lawyer, an anthropologist, or any other future professional you are educating?
During the ABM Blueprint Sprint, you’ll work with a core team of six colleagues to identify where 'A Broader Mind' is already evident in your curriculum and where there are still opportunities for development. Over the course of two meetings, spread out over two months, you’ll work toward creating an ABM blueprint for the programme. This blueprint provides guidance for lecturers and shows students how they can cultivate A Broader Mind throughout their studies.
For whom?
For programme teams that want to embed A Broader Mind more explicitly in their curriculum. For each programme, a core team of six colleagues participates, including the programme director.
This programme in short
- 2 sessions of 3 hours each, and a sync-up meeting between the core team and the whole teaching team.
- Dates to be determined in consultation.
- Location: Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
Alignment with Visible Learning Trajectories projects
The Sprint is a standalone programme, but also aligns well with a Visible Learning Trajectories project. Programmes can begin by developing an ABM blueprint and later utilize the outcomes in a Visible Learning Trajectories project. For degree programmes that have already completed a Visible Learning Trajectories project, the Sprint offers a way to further develop those outcomes from the perspective of A Broader Mind.
