‘Strong governance’ is a Dutch-language postgraduate module within the Philanthropy programme at VU Amsterdam. Designed for mid-career and senior professionals, the module explores what it takes to build and lead effective philanthropic organisations in a rapidly changing environment.
Through two interactive sessions, professors, researchers, and experienced professionals share insights into governance, legal frameworks, communication & marketing and the growing role of artificial intelligence (AI) in the philanthropic sector. By connecting scientific depth, practice-oriented application, and current developments, the module provides tools and perspectives that can be applied directly to your professional practice.
The module can be taken as a standalone course or as part of the full Philanthropy programme. Upon successful completion, you will receive a module certificate. The training programme is part of Center for Philanthropic Studies.
