Perspective in IT Audit

Perspective in IT Audit

The role of IT auditors within organizations is undergoing significant growth and change, especially given the increasing complexity of the digital environment. As an IT auditor, you are expected to possess a wide range of skills to operate effectively in this dynamic context. You must not only be able to look ahead from a business perspective, but also to bring the right stakeholders together, align interests and contribute to solving IT-related societal challenges.

In the age of digitization, it is essential to have knowledge of both technology and the application of data analytics in conducting IT audits, among other things. With this vision in mind, the MSc program ITACA to become a Registered EDP Auditor (RE) was developed at the Free University. This program provides a comprehensive framework to optimally fulfill your role as an IT auditor in the complex digital environment of organizations.

The ITACA training is a valuable investment in your professional development. Since its launch in 1986 at VU Amsterdam, this master's program has strived to train IT auditors at the highest level. You will learn to diagnose, analyze and solve complex digital issues that are multidisciplinary in nature and often transcend the boundaries of your field and organization.

Upon completion of the program, you may hold the RE title, a prestigious title issued by the professional organization of IT auditors (NOREA). This will enable you to make a significant contribution to the growth and development of both the organization or sector in which you work, and to your own professional growth and development.
