Whenever we become aware of an opportunity for honours students (e.g. a job or internship), we inform you through an announcement on Canvas (VU Honours Community Canvas page).
Usually, the Amsterdam Honours Student Council and Extensus also provide such opportunities on their social media, so keep an eye on those! You can find the social media links on their webpages (Extensus and AHSC).

Having a say in the VU Honours Programme
Do you know of ways to improve the VU Honours Programme? Do you want to play a more formal role and work on the quality of our programme? Your feedback matters! There are several opportunities you can explore:
Join the Honours Evaluation Committee
The Honours Evaluation Committee consists of students and lecturers and evaluates the results of the interdepartmental honours course evaluations. They then advise the VU Honours Committee, which decides whether an honours course is continued (in an adjusted form) or discontinued. Do you want to become a member of the Evaluation Committee? Send an e-mail to honours@vu.nl!
Join the Sounding Board
The Sounding Board consists of honours students and provides feedback on the diversity of the choice of interdepartmental courses, the level of challenge and the nature of the courses. The board meets up twice or three times a year, looks at initial course proposals and gathers new ideas on the thematic diversity, assessment methods being used and the opportunities being offered for personal development. Do you want to join the Sounding Board? Send an e-mail to honours@vu.nl!
Become a Student Representative
Each faculty has their own Faculty Honours Student Representative. They are responsible for keeping in touch with honours students and the honours coordinator of their faculty, but also work on promoting the Honours Programme and preserving its quality by forming a bridge between students and policy makers.
Does this sound like you? Then become a representative! New FHSR's are recruited every year. Read more about it here.
Annual survey AHSC
The AHSC hosts an annual survey through which you can provide feedback.
Get in touch
Do you want to give input, think along with or otherwise provide feedback about the quality of the Honours Programme? Great! You can always send an e-mail to the Amsterdam Honours Student Council (AHSC; honoursstudentcouncil@gmail.com) to express your opinion or address concerns.
