Step into the religious dimensions of global challenges

Religious Dimensions of Global Challenges

How do global religions (Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism) cope with contemporary challenges? How are religions worldwide involved in conflict and peace, nationalism, or human rights? Do religions contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals? How do religions deal with gender?

If you have not had enough opportunities yet to include religions into your studies, this is the time to extend your knowledge of religions and discover connections between your own discipline and the religious dimensions of contemporary issues. The courses in this minor aim to deepen the interest that you already bring to the courses from within your own disciplines by applying your existing insights to the often less known field of world religions. This enriches your understanding of your own discipline but also your understanding of contemporary societal issues that multicultural and multireligious societies face.
