This collaboration combines the strengths of both universities: students receive hands-on education and research opportunities focused on impact and technological innovation. As a result, they build a strong theoretical and practical foundation, supported by both academic and technological expertise.
The joint bachelor’s programs
At VU, we offer two technical bachelor’s programs:
Both programs prepare students for the technological challenges of tomorrow, with the convenience of completing most of the degree in Amsterdam.
Upon completing the three-year program, students receive a bachelor's degree from the UT, equipping them with both academic and practical skills for the job market.
Practical information for VU-UT students
VU-UT students complete around 80% of their coursework on the VU-campus in Amsterdam, focusing on theoretical and project-based learning. For labs and exams, they travel to the UT campus in Enschede for roughly 20% of their studies, with affordable accommodation available on the UT campus.
Throughout their studies, students benefit from intensive guidance by faculty from both universities and have access to a wide network of experts. Enrollment is handled through Studielink via the UT, which also awards the final diploma.
Practical information for parents
