VU Bachelor's Day - 7 February 2026

Do you already know what you would like to study? Whether you have no idea yet or already know exactly which degree is the perfect fit for you, at the VU Bachelor’s Day you will discover the study programme that suits you best!

On Saturday, 7 February, from 09.00 am until 4.30 pm CET, the VU Bachelor’s Day will take place. Would you like to receive an email when registration opens in January? We will be the first to notify you with a Save the Date via the My Study Choice portal.

During the open day, you will find out everything – and we mean everything – about what it’s like to study at VU Amsterdam. Get to know one or more of our 50 bachelor’s programmes, ask questions to students and lecturers from all our programmes, attend information sessions about the subjects you are curious about, and take a guided tour around our green campus!

Good to know: Our bachelor's open days take place in November and February. After the open day on 7 February, the next open days will not take place until early November.

On Friday 7 and Saturday 8 November the VU Bachelor’s Days will take place. During these open days, you will find out everything – and we mean everything – about what it’s like to study at VU Amsterdam. Get to know one of our 50 bachelor’s programmes, ask questions to students and lecturers from all our programmes, attend information sessions about the subjects you are curious about, and take a guided tour around our green campus!

Want to make sure you don’t miss the registration for the Bachelor’s Days? Sign up for the Save the Date via the My Study Choice portal. We will then notify you as soon as registration opens, so you can immediately book your place at the most exciting sessions!

You are at the centre of our open days on campus. We want to help you make the best possible choice. For example, is studying at our university the right step for you? What is it like to study in Amsterdam? And will you feel at home on our campus?

What can you expect at the open days?

  • There’s plenty to do all day long: attend programme information sessions, take part in workshops on how to choose the study programme that suits you, and join guided tours around the VU campus.
  • As an international student, you can ask all your questions about visa, housing and living in Amsterdam directly to our International Office on the information market or at one of the International Office information sessions.
  • Ask all your questions to our students, lecturers and staff, so you can hear first-hand what it’s like to follow a particular programme.
  • Besides studying, you’ll also learn all about student life at VU! Think about our study associations, the sports you can do at VU, or our extensive cultural offering – from theatre to creative painting!

Save-the-Date

Registration for the open day will start in January. You can already use the Save-the-Date feature in the My Study Choice portal. With a Save-the-Date, we will be the first to notify you by email when registration starts. This way, you can be the first to register in January and secure a place. 


In addition to the Save the Date for the Bachelor's Day, you can also use your My Study Choice account to register for other study choice activities, such as Taster Day activities or to save your favourite programmes.

Access Campus Online

On our online platform Campus Online, you will find extra information, study programme videos and documents. In your My Study Choice account, select this activity to gain access and view all extra content and information at your leisure.

Everything you need to know about the open day

  • The programme

    On Saturday, 7 February, we start at 09:00 am CET and end at 04:30 pm CET. The information market will be open all day. Besides that, there will be five information rounds. Check the full programme with all planned sessions once registration starts.

  • How to reach our campus?

    The Bachelor's Day will take place at the VU Campus. The various buildings are within walking distance of each other. The Main Building is located at De Boelelaan 1105, 1081 HV in Amsterdam. 

    Our campus is situated in one of the most dynamic and fast-growing business districts in the Netherlands and is just a 10-minute train ride from the international airport Schiphol. The lively and multicultural city centre of Amsterdam with the largest concentration of students in the Netherlands is just a 15-minute bike ride from our campus.

    The best way to reach our campus is by public transport. Use Google Maps to plan your route.

  • Sessions for international students

    Our international office hosts an information session, especially for international visitors. You will get information about studying at VU Amsterdam and living in Amsterdam.

    Once registration starts, in the overview of sessions, you can find these sessions via the filter 'Other'.

  • Information market

    At the different information markets, you can ask questions to our staff, lecturers and students from your favourite Bachelor's programmes. They can give you information about study programmes, application procedures and studying at the VU. You can also learn more about student initiatives you can join during your studies at VU Amsterdam: Green Office VUProject VoorUitA Broader Mind, and Community Service Learning.

    The stand of our International Office will be present in the Main Building for all your international student-related questions. 

  • Information sessions

    During the information sessions, lecturers and students or alumni will tell you everything about their Bachelor's programme. While you are making your schedule, make sure you have some time left to visit the information market.

  • Campus Tour

    Let one of our students show you around the VU campus. They will be happy to tell you how they use the many facilities that we have here at one location.

    In the overview of sessions, you can find these sessions under Other, once the registration starts. 

  • How do I register/ save the date?

    Follow the steps below to register/ save the date for the open day:

    1. Go to the My Study Choice login page
    2. Depending on whether you are already a VU student, follow 1 of the steps below:
      1. I am a VU student:
        • Choose to log in with your VUnetID and follow the steps to log in.
      2. I am not a VU student, but I already have a My Study Choice account:
        • Choose to log in with a My Study Choice account and then log in with your account details.
      3. I don't have a My Study Choice account yet
        • Choose the option to create an account.
        • Then click on 'Create account' on the login screen.
        • Enter the requested information, verify your email address and create your account.
        • Then log in with this information.
    3. On My Study Choice, you will then see the Bachelor's Day(s) under study choice activities.
    4. Click sign up and follow the steps. 
    5. My Study Choice will always be accessible from now on if you log in via the login function at the top right of the VU website.
