VU Bachelor's Day

Unlock Your Potential. Discover the study programme that suits you at the VU Bachelor’s Day.

Come to the VU Bachelor Day on Saturday, February 8, from 09:00 am to 04:30 pm CET. The save the date is now available in the My Study Choice portal. With a save-the-date, we will inform you when the actual registration starts somewhere in January.    

You get to know one or more of our 50 Bachelor's programmes during the open day. Sign up for several information sessions, visit the information market, take a guided tour and interact with our students, lecturers and staff. 

Whatever programme you choose, at VU Amsterdam, you will discover what touches you and how your interests and talents can make a difference. Through your unique experience, background, and personality, you will gain different insights and new ideas. So, you will develop your talent and make an academic and social contribution.

We organize our Bachelor's Days in November and February. After the open day in February, the next open day will take place in November 2025.  

During the open day, everything revolves around your study choice and getting to know our international Bachelor's programmes. Almost every study programme will organise one or more information sessions and they are present at the different information markets. Ask all your questions to students, teachers and staff. 

In addition, there are also various activities and workshops where you will learn everything about studying at VU Amsterdam, our campus and our facilities.

What can I expect?

      • During the open days, we have a programme with all kinds of information sessions, workshops and guided tours
          • You will find all sessions in the sessions overview (available when the registration starts). Use the search function or filters to see for yourself when your favourite sessions take place. Don't forget to register and book your sessions.
      • As an international student, you can ask all your questions about visa, housing and living in Amsterdam directly to our International Office on the information market or at one of the International Office information sessions
      • Visit information sessions of your favourite study programme(s) and go to the information markets
      • Ask your questions to our students and staff
      • Join one of the Campus Tours
      • Get to know everything about sports, culture, study associations and student life in Amsterdam

Registration and save the date

Registration for the open day will start in January 2025. The save the date is already available in My Study Choice. With a save the date, we will inform you when the actual registration starts. 

In addition to signing up for the bachelor day, you can also sign up for other study choice activities such as Taster Days or saving your favourite programmes with a My Study Choice account.

Access Campus Online

On our online platform Campus Online you will find extra information, study programme videos and documents. In  My Study Choice, select this activity to gain access and view all extra content and information at your leisure.

  • Programme and schedule

    On Saturday 8 February, we start at 09:00 am CET and the day ends at 04:30 pm CET. The information market will be open all day. Besides that, there will be five information rounds. The full overview of sessions will be available when the registration starts.

  • How to reach our campus?

    The Bachelor's Day will take place at the VU Campus. The Main Building address is located at De Boelelaan 1105, 1081 HV in Amsterdam. 

    Our campus is situated in one of the most dynamic and fast-growing business districts in the Netherlands and is just a 10-minute train ride from the international airport Schiphol. The lively and multicultural city centre of Amsterdam with the largest concentration of students in the Netherlands is just a 15-minute bike ride from our campus.

    The best way to reach our campus is by public transport. Use Google Maps to plan your route.

  • Sessions for international students

    Our international office hosts an information session, especially for international visitors. You will get information about studying at VU Amsterdam and living in Amsterdam. The details of these sessions will be available when the registration starts. 

  • Information market

    At the different information markets, you can ask all your questions to our staff, lecturers and students from your favourite Bachelor's programmes. They can give you information about study programmes, application procedures and studying at the VU. You can also find out more about student initiatives you can join during your study at the VU: Green Office VU, Project VoorUit, A Broader Mind, and Community Service Learning.

  • Information sessions

    During the information sessions, lecturers, students, or alumni will tell you about their Bachelor's programme. While making your schedule, ensure you have time left to visit the information market.

  • Campus Tour

    Let one of our students show you around the VU campus. They are happy to tell you how they use the many facilities we have here in one location.

  • How do I register/ save the date?

    Follow the steps below to register/ save the date for the open day:

    1. Go to the My Study Choice login page
    2. Depending on whether you are already a VU student, follow 1 of the steps below:
      1. I am a VU student:
        • Choose to log in with your VUnetID and follow the steps to log in.
      2. I am not a VU student, but I already have a My Study Choice account:
        • Choose to log in with a My Study Choice account and then log in with your account details.
      3. I don't have a My Study Choice account yet
        • Choose the option to create an account.
        • Then click on 'Create account' on the login screen.
        • Enter the requested information, verify your email address and create your account.
        • Then log in with this information.
    3. On My Study Choice, you will then see the Bachelor's Day(s) under study choice activities.
    4. Click sign up and follow the steps. 
    5. My Study Choice will always be accessible from now on if you log in via the login function at the top right of the VU website.
