Putting the puzzle together

How do prime numbers help cybersecurity by encrypting your messages? How does math contribute to the development of artificial intelligence? How does mathematics explain patterns in the skin appearance of animals? 

During this challenging programme, you will receive an excellent foundation in Mathematics and have the chance to stake out your own focus by choosing one of the different study paths that are for example more data driven oriented or more research oriented. In the international classroom you will be surrounded by other math fanatics.

Discover your Mathematics study programme

During your mathematics studies at school, you undoubtedly learnt about calculus, derivatives, algebra, and more – but did you learn how these theories work or why they are true? At the bachelor level you are on cue to acquire new insights into these mathematical phenomena and to discover the buttressing logic. You will also be diving into other branches of mathematics, deviating thoroughly from those you were taught at high school.

  • In high school, you use familiar formulas. During your bachelor's program, you reach a point where you start developing new formulas yourself. For example, to solve a specific problem, such as: how can you help people on a waiting list as quickly as possible? 
  • University is more challenging and requires more creativity and an investigate mind 
  • No tricks, it is all about understanding the theory
  • You are more responsible for your study progress 
  • Higher pace than in high school
