Analyse issues from different academic fields

Explore the big questions in society through an interdisciplinary lens. You will choose courses according to your own interests within the sciences, social sciences and humanities and learn how to address societal questions from multiple perspectives. Acquire the knowledge and skills to become an engaged global professional.

Our society, science and organisations need people like you. People with the courage to break the borders between academic disciplines. Liberal Arts and Sciences encourages you to think interdisciplinary. You decide what study areas you want to explore and to specialise in.

Flexible curriculum with freedom of choice.

  • The programme has a core of mandatory subjects (academic core courses), so every student obtains essential academic skills.
  • Choose one of three majors (sciences, social sciences or humanities) to gain in-depth knowledge.
  • Follow courses outside of your major to learn how to think across traditional disciplines.

You'll select about two-thirds of your courses, so you discover (and do) what you like most. A personal tutor assists you in making the right choices, so your programme prepares you for your future ambitions.

The start date of this study programme is 1 September.

Degree

Depending on your chosen major, you'll receive a Bachelor of Sciences degree (major: sciences) or a Bachelor of Arts degree (major: social sciences or humanities).
