Liberal Arts and Sciences

In year 2, you again choose major subjects to further deepen your knowledge in the fields of study you like. You will also choose electives outside your major in both the social sciences and the humanities to broaden your perspective (you can also take courses at VU Amsterdam or UvA). 

You will work on a community project or do an internship to gain practical experience. 

Optional: if you wish, you can also study abroad for a semester. You may also do the semester abroad in your third year.

In your third and final year, you take the remaining major courses to complete your specialisation and learn how to write academic papers.

The goal is to write your bachelor's thesis and graduate. You'll do an individual research project, conducted under the guidance of your personal thesis supervisor. In this way, you will show what your unique research field within your major has become, what you have learned and that you know how to apply the interdisciplinary skills you have learned.
