Research on barriers to optimal care
The Talma Institute conducts transdisciplinary research into the barriers that stand in the way of achieving the public objectives of the Dutch healthcare system: accessibility, quality and affordability of care. We provide insight into the institutional barriers that hinder these objectives, as well as practical guidance on how to remove them. This requires a broad perspective and the ability to bring together insights from academia, policy and practice. To this end, we collaborate with healthcare providers, health insurers, regulators, policymakers and other social partners.
